ColdSpring Nurse Mares

StudioThought was introduced to ColdSpring Nursemares at the Floyd C4 Series.  The Floyd C4 (Creators, Coaches, Curriculum and Challenge Series): Business Development Series & Competition is a six-week series of free business sessions for small businesses as well as start-ups and those thinking of starting a new business.  The sessions include Business Idea and Business Planning, Ins and Outs of Operating a Business, Marketing: Why and How, Marketing (SEO & Social Media), Financing & Crowdfunding and Business Plan Review. Businesses who take part in these sessions have a chance to pitch their business to win up to $5,000.

ColdSpring Nurse Mares was just starting out with 5 mares and a mission:  “ColdSpring Nurse Mares provides an innovative and vital service to the equine community while also bringing awareness and action to the problem of equine over population.”

Owner Bronwyn Watts approached StudioThought Marketing and Design to design her website.  She also competed for the prizes through C4 and won 3rd place the first year she competed and was able to compete a second time and win the grand prize!

We have enjoyed watching her business grow!  While she started with just 5 mares, at the time of this writing, she currently has 25 mares who successfully adopt orphaned foals and provide them with nourishing milk and love as they take the foal as their own.
